Information: Official Umbro England Home Football Shirt from 1997/99, as worn by 'The Three Lions' at the World Cup in France 1998, when a young Michael Owen scored one of the goals of the tournament, but it wasn't enough for England to advance in the competition, eventually losing out 4-3 on penalties to arch-rivals Argentina. That game saw the infamous red card awarded to Beckham after his kick to Simeone, which overshadowed the game itself, and kept the British tabloid press busy for the next two years. A fantastic vintage jersey, ideal for a collection of your own or the perfect gift for any football fan.
Teammates: Including Campbell, Adams, Ince, Owen, Shearer & Sheringham.
Condition: Excellent. Wonderful creamy white colour, smooth material, no bobbles, snags or holes. One small marking on reverse of left sleeve (see photos). Manufacturer transfer to lower front hem slightly faded, as is the detailing on the collar button (see photo). These in no way detract from the beauty of this wonderful shirt.
Dimensions: Pit-to-Pit = 59cm / Collar-to-Hem = 77cm.
