Despite a winning start against the USA, subsequent defeats against Egypt & Brazil saw them board the plane home. The reverse of the shirt boasts the nameset of midfielder, Andrea Pirlo, who was described by Gianluigi Buffon in 2014 as "a genius... alongside Baggio, he is the greatest talent that Italian football has produced in the last 25 years".
